At ITL, our people are our greatest resource. They are people you can trust. Without
them, we would not be able to provide the product and service that we offer. That
is the reason safety has been ITL’s highest priority.
ITL has and shall always be committed to our communities and to the Safety and Health
of all our employees. We have implemented aggressive polices to safe guard the health
of the environments in which we live and work.
Protecting the safety of our workers, contractors, and visitors is the primary concern
for ITL Corporation. In addition, ITL Corporation strives for continuous excellence
in environmental compliance for both our company and customers. These fundamental
beliefs are the building blocks for regulatory compliance and safety programs. We
place employee safety and environmental compliance as our top priority.
Five of ITL’s facilities have the distinction of achieving OSHA’s Safety and Health
Achievement Recognition Program (“SHARP”) certification. Such certification requires
many voluntary OSHA inspections. In North Carolina, ITL is one of only 79 companies
(and the first of three lumber manufacturing companies) to receive SHARP certification.
In West Virginia, ITL is one of only 9 other companies (and the only lumber company)
certified in that state. In Pennsylvania, both of ITL’s facilities are among eighteen
total companies with SHARP certification. In addition, both of those facilities
are the only lumber companies with this distinction. In Ohio, ITL is one of only
14 companies (and the only lumber company) to receive SHARP certification.
ITL is fortunate to have a full-time safety director. With his assistance, we have
been able to keep all of ITL’s production facilities, combined, well below the national
average (for lumber production facilities) for lost time rates and incident rates
over the past five years.
Rest assured, our people will be there to service your needs.
