CHARACTERISTICS:
Height: 50-70 ft. Leaves: Broad, flat, shallow pinnate lobes, bristles at tips. General: Grows best in fertile well-drained soils. Strong wood, similar to white oak but more porous. Easily turned, bendable, shock resistant.
COMMON USES:
Architectural interiors, wall panelling, furniture, flooring, millwork, boxes, crates, caskets and coffins, lumbers, handles, pallets, agricultural implements, boats and woodenware.
