CHARACTERISTICS:
Height: 60-100 ft. Leaves: Broad, flat, pinnate lobes, bristles at tips. General: Light gray fissured bark. Grows best in deep well-drained soils. Open pored, pronounced grain patterns, strong wood.
COMMON USES:
Architectural interiors, wall panelling, furniture, flooring millwork, lumber, handles, boxes and crates.
